Hooray for the King of Spain! At the Ibero-American summit in Santiago, Chile someone had the nerve and was brave enough to tell the Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez to "shut up!"
Mr. Chavez demonstrated a lack of respect for other diplomats with his interruptions while other were speaking. He called the former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Azner a fascist, also saying "fascists are not human. A snake is more human."
The present Spanish Prime Minsiter Jose Luis Rodriguiz Zapatero reminded Mr. Chavey that diplomats do deserve respect; that this certain former prime minister represented the people of Spain. But the Venezuelan kept interrupting and that is when King Juan Carlos directly told Mr. Chavez to shut up.
Its unfortunate when on 20 September 2006, Mr. Chavez addressed the United Nations General Assembly, and called our President Bush a "devil' and other negative remarks. Someone should have stood up and addressed Mr. Chavez to show some respect. But that would not happen considering the audience that just have hatred for the United States, or are too frighten to make a scene
